I bought the Alphacool Core Distro Plate 360 without a pump, but I have run into a problem that I do not fully understand.
Naturally, since it was the pump-less version, neither a pump nor an O-ring was included. However, when I try to install a separately purchased D5-compatible pump—at least, Bykski claims that it is D5-compatible—it clearly does not seem to fit properly.

The O-ring included with the pump has an inner diameter of approximately 56 or 57 mm. However, according to the distro plate manual, the O-ring included with the version that comes with a pump has an inner diameter of 53 mm.
On the other hand, based on the thread linked below, it seems to suggest that the O-ring supplied with a third-party pump can also be used. It specifically says to buy a 57 mm O-ring, but that size does not fit correctly in my case, and it clearly appears that a 53 mm O-ring is required.

As you can see in the image below, it looks like the O-ring is supposed to sit in the smaller inner groove. In other words, it seems that a 53 mm O-ring is necessary.

So, was the reply in the old forum thread incorrect? Or is it normal for the pump to remain visibly not fully seated, as shown in the first image, and will it still be able to circulate coolant properly in that state?
For reference, the Bykski D5-compatible pump fits perfectly into the distro plate when no O-ring is installed, so the shape and dimensions of the pump itself appear to be correct.
