Question about maintenance

Hello,
I built my first watercooling loop June last year, it's running perfectly and the water is clean with 0 leak. I was wondering if I still had to perform some maintenance or it's fine to let it run as it is?

The system is
  • Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge
  • Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-A Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil
  • Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 240mm radiator V.2
  • Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 280mm radiator V.2
  • Alphacool Eisbecher Aurora D5 Acetal/Glas - 250mm incl. Alphacool VPP Apex D5
  • Alphacool ES deionized water (ultrapure water)
Thanks

Hi,

as long as you don't have any problems with cooling performance and can't see any particles or flakes in the water, you don't need to do any maintenance. We have systems here that have been running for over 5 years without maintenance. One of my private systems has also not had any maintenance for 3 years and there is no reason to service it yet.
There is this nice saying “Never change a running system”. You could also say “Never touch a running system”.
Maintenance also means simply checking that everything is still running as it should. :)
