Trouble with fittings on new radiator

Hi,

I just got a HPE-30 280 and a UT60 420

I am having trouble fitting my Bitspower G 1/4 fitting into the 280 rad port. They fit perfectly on the 420.

I am able to take a threaded plug from a port on the other side and screw it in fully and get it tight. So I know the threads are clean etc.

However I am unable to screw in a Bitspower fitting as far as the plug is going.
So the O-rings on the fittings are not compressing onto the surface of the radiator port.
I went pretty much as tight as I could by hand and even had to use channel locks to get it back off.

also, I like the flush fitting plugs on the HPE 280 i have. Can i use the same plugs in my UT60 ? It would help the fit in my case.

thank you,
Barney

HI,

the HPE radiators are only compatible with fittings, which have a 5mm Thread. I can´t say, how long the thread is on your fittings, so you have to measure them. You can´t use our patented plug screws from our HPE or V2 radiators with the older ones.
