VPP Apex pump with eisbecher - mountingring gap

Hi All

Can anyone tell me a trick to get the pump mounted to the reservoir?
With the O-Ring installed i have a significant gap which does not close unless i would use the 4 longer bolts to close it and then add the shorter ones.
But I'm afraid doing that might damage the o-ring.
There is only 4 long ones so I assume those are not meant for it since the ring requires 8.

I would first need to know which reservoir you are referring to before I can say anything about it. A picture would also be very helpful. And which O-ring did you use? Was one included with the reservoir, or did you use the one that comes with the pump?
