Will my Alphacool 480mm radiator be sufficient for the new RTX 3000 series?

Good evening,

I have had a well running custom watercooling system with a GTX 1070 in the last years.
In the meantime the performance of my system is no longer sufficient for me, so I would like to take this opportunity to
to buy a new GPU of the RTX 3000 series (probably the RTX 3080)
In the rumours one often reads an unbelievable TDP of 320 to 350 Watt, which the GPU's should put on their legs.
Hence my question: Will my old 480mm radiator still be sufficient for this waste heat?
Unfortunately I don't have space for another radiator in my case (see appendix), so I would have to improvise a bit (suggestions are welcome).

The watercooling system has to cool:
CPU: i7-8087K OC (stays for now)
GPU: ~RTX 3080

Thank you very much for the answers.

With kind regards,
mchrissi

Hi there,
Well i dont want to answer to rumors really. The TDP of 320 to 350 W with the CPU is no problem for the radiator. It should work fine. Do you run the radiator in your case as push/pull?

You are welcome. If you run this radiator in push/pull form it can remove the existing TDP in your system without problems.

I would advise to wait couple more days to get the details from Nvidia. As far i know the presentation is on the 1th of September at 18:00.
