If you have at least a 240mm radiator for the CPU, then you will have better temperatures on average. This means, however, that the temperature on the CPU may be a few degrees higher, but a little lower on the GPU. It all depends on the load distribution. Overall, however, it is always better to connect both together, as the heat can then be distributed more evenly over both radiators.
