Waterblock for GIGABYTE RTX 2080 Super Windforce OC 8G

Is there a waterblock that fits this Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super? Part# Gv-N208SWF3OC-8GD, which I think is the same PCB layout as the RTX 2070 Super Windforce, with the no RGB header and round solid capacitors instead of the flat MLCC ones. I see there's a block for the Windforce 2070 Super coming, but not sure anyone checked to see if it fits the Super 2080.

We neber checkt this card, so sorry but we have no idea if the Windforce cooler will fit. Maybe you can sent us a pic of the PCB?

We dont know if Gigabyte has changed the PCB but if it is the original version it will fit. Have you got a bare photo of your graphics card PCB? If yes we can double check it ^^

I will possibly have pictures of the PCB with the stock cooler removed in a few days. I'll post them at that time, but I did notice this PCB has the 4pin socket for RGB, but the cooler doesn't have RGB, just the wire connector for the fans only on the other side.

HI, finally pulled the cooler off the RTX2080 Super. Here is a picture of the PCB. Looks like the only thing not the same as the 2070 Super is the lerftover 4 pin connector for RGB, which this card doesn't use. If needed, I would desolder & remove if needed.

The block that we have for the Windforce would fit this card but you need to remove the 4 Pin header above the condenser. You can desolder it but this is at your own risk.

Hi Metropolis334, once last question. Are terminal block logo covers available to change out from the "2070 super" wording to one that says 2080 Super or Geforce RTX ? I know there's different wording on other GPU blocks that should fit with either of those words.

Finally purchased the 2070 Super block and removed unused RGB 4 pin connector J603 and the blocks fits fine. Just need to correct the thermal pad thickness as in noted in the original 2070 Super thread.

Thank you very much for the pictures and update. Nice looking block you have ^^
GPU block works and looks great, but does seem more restrictive than I expected. I'm using this GPU block with two 360 radiators and EK CPU block with a D5 pump with a Alphacool flow indicator and cannot get all the air bubbles out of the blocks at 100% PWM signal with the D5 pump. There is flow, but this is the first loop with dual 360 rads I cannot get enough flow with a D5 pump compared to another dual 360 rad system I have with a D5 pump. Before the Alphacool GPU block, I had enough flow to bleed out air bubbles, but wasn't as strong as I was expecting. Could be my rads have more pressure drop than I expected though. Will be installing a DDC 3.2 PWM pump to see if this overcomes the loop restrictions.

So its easy to change? Also how has yours been doing. Mine does not have the RGB pins so I will not be removing anything. Hows temp?

The terminal seems to be covered with the name placard that you pluck off at the left side notch and then unscrew the terminal block off. I just wanted a name placard with 2080 Super or similar, but they don't make one, so I have to look at creating one instead for 2080 Super.

As far as cooling, its working fine, but the block IMO is more restrictive than I'm used to, but it works. I was running a D5 pump, but bought a DDC 3.2 to use instead once this block was installed. I did have issues with the thermal pads for the VRMs, inductors & capacitors, where they were too thin on the inductors & VRMs (comes with 1.0mm, needed 1.5mm pads instead) and the capacitors ones were too thick (1.0mm, needed .5mm instead) and when you screw the block on the PCB, you'll notice the pads get squashed out on top of the caps, at least for me that is. I posted that info over in the 2070 Windforce thread:

Right ok, so thermal pads are too small so I shall buy the right size. I've just bought the waterblock and now waiting for it to arrive. Il update on how I get on but after looking through what u have done I believe it should be fine. And the terminal im not to bothered about so il just remove the 2070 super.
