'Gainward Phantom, Phantom GS, Palit GameRock, GameRock OC RTX 3090, 3080 waterblocks'

^ this sounds like more then possible reason for gap. EDIT Though it also seems that may add extra obstacles for designing universal active cooling backplate for fitting different PCBs, to get mounting pressure right and extra mounting holes needed for that across all of them

For simplicity sake suggest to buy some reservoir integrated with pump. Rads area .. depends on your requirements for low temp delta and cooling loudness. In my book of rule of thumbs, one can cool 100W heatload quietly with ~ single 120mm fan rad section. With just gpu LC-ed, i'd probably get...

@sakarno: any observations/hints regarding mounting specifics/cooling performance from "real stuff"? :) And what TIM you used, paste or LM?

@Fizzyceci : possibly you stumbled upon same issue as i had initially. I guess you may already have shop account on aquatuning using that email address? I couldn't register/nor get password for "registered email address" due that. (supposedly temporary AT & AC webshops run on same engine, will...

login in AC shop. You probably created some account there prior or during order, no matter what payment type? For some email address, with some password .. if nothing else, try forgot password link to reset. Or contact them via email/phone/whatever for login issues. Also as always, if email is...

'Gainward Phantom, Phantom GS, Palit GameRock, GameRock OC RTX 3090, 3080 waterblocks'

@RosaPanteren : imho this block (at least haven't found of bigger area/size :) ) might be nice fit for use on top of whatever flat backplate (probably included with main block, as it's "free" in kit and it makes little sense of using stock backplate that will stick 1/3rd past card PCB/main...

'Gainward Phantom, Phantom GS, Palit GameRock, GameRock OC RTX 3090, 3080 waterblocks'

@Vanzin : yes, Phantom an Phantom GS. But that shouldn't matter. Just like palit's GameRock and GameRock OC. AFAIK PCB is completely same for those "versions", except GS/OC have supposedly better selected chips and obviously higher powerlimits & clocks in card's bios. But those "differences"...

I'm guessing that active backplate might be separate product, maybe not just for our cards, and possibly having own thread/development/news. @Eddy any existing thread for it by chance to not put too much offtopic here? (found german thread possibly related to it + for few specific cards, eg...

@Sckanksta: try calling shop or PM one of reps. Tell them also your order number. I try to not use paypal though, they often tend to overcharge a lot, especially in cases where currency conversion is involved. Also see if you maybe can complete existing order (check in orders in your user...

'Gainward Phantom, Phantom GS, Palit GameRock, GameRock OC RTX 3090, 3080 waterblocks'

Schkanksta: I ordered with paying via CC (mastercard) just fine. Don't know .. i had created user in shop before release & put in shipping address and set payment method to that of Credit Card. Except some glitches (in latest firefox running on mac) of some webpage elements ("order steps")...

Thomas_S: we beat you to it with link :). Meanwhile if you guys have permissions (to edit other user post), maybe worth putting that link in very first post of this thread, or "sticky" it in some way, if forum software used here allows that

'Gainward Phantom, Phantom GS, Palit GameRock, GameRock OC RTX 3090, 3080 waterblocks'

I guess it makes sense to choose single most commonly bought for limited run of blocks for small niche cards to not be further split in even smaller varieties. I'd prefer Acetal due all-black build theme and for supposedly stronger material, but obviously LC-ing this hot card in any way is my...

Oviously you can sign up for some newsletter or such but imho no need. Expected date is known, just register user at AC webshop and go there at that date and see if it got released and purchase in such case. Signing up at this thread is not needed either, was more so initially for potential new...

Nice to hear both that more proofs arrive for both "bits", that gainward's are almost same and that 3080 have same PCB. After all, it means possible potential quadrupling of customers (there are more 3080 owners out there, but due lesser TDP they "suffer" less from loudness of stock cooling...
